Luke Skywalker is now a Jedi Knight. Coming to terms with the revelations of Bespin, Luke has matured. With newfound abilities and confidence, he travels to Tatooine and, together with Princess Leia, Chewbacca and their new ally Lando Calrissian, frees his best friend Han Solo, who has been abducted by a bounty hunter. Things go smoothly, but as the Rebels return to their fleet they learn of a new Death Star that is in the process of being built. When news reaches their leaders that Emperor Palpatine in person will arrive at the construction site, Luke and his friends launch a mission to destroy the diabolical weapon.

They don't know that the Emperor has foreseen their every move and wants to get his hands on young Skywalker. At his side is Darth Vader, Dark Lord of the Sith. During the final confrontation, Luke's very soul is at stake. Will he withstand the Dark Side?
