Mark says...
"The original film was an hour and fifty-three minutes. You know, because of the DVD and the fact that
Warner Brothers acquired [Loramar's] film library, they've been able to restore it to two hours and forty minutes and really restore
Sam Fuller's vision for the film. [...] This is the real deal and it was just an incredible experience for me to be able to be a part of this living history."

Summary
Griff is member of the Big Red One, a division of the US Army. In World War II, his unit is deployed in Europe. He is an excellent sniper, but also a very young man. Confronted with the harsh reality of armed conflict, he grapples with one question - when is killing murder? Paralysed when called to shoot an enemy, Griff has serious problems to cope with his duty. As he follows his superior and his unit onto the battle field, they see many faces of the war and Griff has plenty of opportunity to mature and prove himself.
